Wicked Sick gives back 20% of its time to pro bono work that supports humanity: open data, open tools, public infrastructure and community projects. Everything below is free to use.
publicuniverse.net
A free front end to astronomical science data that until now only scientists could really get at: 1,575,114 objects from NASA/JPL and the IAU Minor Planet Center, refreshed nightly. Enter your location to see where to look and whether an object is up tonight. Free A4 school worksheets for primary and secondary (educators) and a free, keyless REST API (docs). An MCP server and a cross-agent, MIT-licensed plugin are coming soon.
projectgambit.gg
A free, private chess coach. Gambit pulls in members' chess.com games overnight, runs every move through Stockfish and a set of named pattern detectors, then drills each player on the mistake that keeps costing them games. Built for a small group of friends, now being extended to a UK chess club. Nothing is sold or shared. Public community hub: github.com/Wicked-Sick-Ltd/project-gambit-community.
deuteros.com
A fan-made, pixel-for-pixel remake of Ian Bird's classic Amiga and Atari ST strategy game, free and open source under CC0, built in Godot with Ian Bird's blessing. Led by Tony Cheetham. We help with engineering: build tests and gameplay fixes, Windows build validation, a proposed project workflow (CI, labels, releases, contributing guides) and the project's task board.
discovery.wickedsick.com
Sanitised write-ups of Wicked Sick solving real problems. IP addresses, hostnames, usernames, keys and client identifiers are removed, but the core knowledge stays intact. Around 60 guides today across infrastructure, security, monitoring, incident response, AI and retro computing, plus cheat sheets. A public knowledge-sharing project we're building out.
apt-mirror.wickedsick.com
A full Ubuntu mirror for jammy (22.04), noble (24.04) and resolute (26.04), amd64 and arm64, current to the latest updates and security releases, over HTTPS and plain HTTP. Canonical's signatures are preserved, so clients only change a URL. Also installer ISOs, weekly pinned snapshots (8 kept) and re-signed Docker, HashiCorp and PostgreSQL (PGDG) repositories.
Wikipedia backup
Returning soon
We used to keep a backup of Wikipedia, and we'll run it again once new hardware lands, so another copy of the world's encyclopaedia is kept safe.
github.com/Wicked-Sick-Ltd/token-usage
A free AI plugin that goes much further than built-in tools in showing where people's AI usage goes. It attributes token use to the command, skill or subagent that consumed it, with cross-session history, insights, budget nudges and cache-aware cost estimates. Runs entirely on your machine with no telemetry. Released for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor (v0.7.0), with Gemini CLI and GitHub Copilot CLI support in the next release. Claude directory resubmission planned.
tests.stockfishchess.org
Stockfish is the world's leading open-source chess engine. We run official Fishtest workers on our Proxmox cluster and spare bare-metal hosts, giving compute to the distributed testing that decides which engine and neural-network improvements ship. We built our own tooling to provision workers, and keep a public fork with security and CI hardening.
